Looking Back at How we Soared in 2022

It’s hard to believe that 2022 has already come to an end! As we take flight into 2023, we wanted to take a moment to look back on the year that was, and reflect on what has been an incredibly exciting period of growth and development here at Craft.

Growing our fleet

We started 2022 with the goal of increasing the number of aircraft on our charter certificate. By the end of the year, we had grown our fleet by seven outstanding craft.

Bolstering our fleet by as many as 7 aircraft over the course of 2022 is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of given the significant undertaking this involves. An aircraft can only be approved following a thorough FAA inspection, careful submission of all relevant paperwork, and rigorous internal checks.

We didn’t just expand the number of aircraft in our fleet, however. We also broadened the types of aircraft our guests can choose from. Adding the large cabin Gulfstream GIV and the ultra-long range Gulfstream G550 models to our fleet were exciting developments that expanded the options for guests seeking the most luxurious and convenient experience in air travel.

Broadening our horizons

Increasing the number and variety of aircraft within our fleet didn’t just provide our guests with greater choice when it comes to traveling in style and comfort. It also meant we could expand the number of destinations we cover with transatlantic flights opening up choice locations across Europe and the rest of the world.

When it comes to comfortable, efficient, and personalized transatlantic air travel, exceptional aircraft is only one half of the equation. The other half is passionate, experienced, and well-trained personnel.

With this in mind, in 2022 we developed our already extensive protocols with an FAA-approved training program for our pilots and, following deep scrutiny and rigorous demonstrations of our capabilities, gained approval from the FAA to provide flights across the atlantic. We are delighted to expand our operations into additional territories and are looking forward to delivering our guests to their destinations with our signature commitment to luxury and efficiency.

Expanding our team

The Craft family also grew substantially in 2022. From investment in our dedicated concierge team to make the booking process more streamlined to the appointment of Jenn Tyndal as Director of Client Experience focused on making our clients’ experience even more enjoyable, our team more than doubled to over 115 employees by the end of the year.

We were also thrilled to welcome Ed Frank as Craft’s CFO and CSO, which you'll be able to read more about soon.

To accommodate our continued growth, we moved from our original LA-based offices to a premier FBO facility in Miami, Florida. Craft is now headquartered at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport—Miami’s fastest growing and most popular private airport.

The value of this new space is vast, and its layout enables us to integrate more closely with the daily operations of our business than ever before. With only a 60-second walk between our offices and one of the most popular ramps, it’s easy for our support teams to collaborate with our crew as well as to greet our guests in order to deliver that next-level touch of personalized service. In short, we couldn’t imagine a more fitting setup as we continue to grow our operations throughout 2023.

Here’s to an amazing 2023

We’d like to end by thanking our brokers and flight guests for your support in 2022. We look forward to another fantastic year of providing you with consistently exceptional air travel!
