Introducing Ed Frank, Our New CFO and CSO

Ed Frank becomes new CFO and CSO at Craft. The luxury private jet charter company.

Today, we have the pleasure of announcing an incredible addition to our executive team. Ed Frank will be taking on the dual role of CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) at Craft—another exciting development in a time of continued evolution for our company.

We recently spoke with Ed about taking up the positions of CFO and CSO, along with his first impressions and thoughts about the journey ahead.

An aviation industry veteran

Ed brings decades of C-suite experience as both the senior financial and operational executive at private aviation companies, including Jet Edge and TWC Aviation, leading them through periods of significant growth and enhanced profitability.

Asked about this, Ed reflected: “Throughout my career I’ve developed a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of the private aviation business, focused in equal parts on the operators, owners, and stakeholders.

“That understanding comes not only from a financial and operational perspective, but also with a focus on building excellent relationships, recruiting best in class industry talent, and managing growth in a way that delivers enhanced profitability alongside long-term sustainability.

“I am delighted to have been asked to join the Craft team at this pivotal point in their evolution, and look forward to contributing to their continuing profitable growth and expansion.”

Powering our continued growth and innovation

Ed is a family man whose hobbies include spending time with his grandson, often on trips to Sacramento Executive Airport to watch the arrival and departure of the private aircraft. Ed’s passion has clearly rubbed off: “He’s three and a half years old and already knows more about private airplanes than most adults. I’m not sure how that happened”, Ed says with a smile in his voice.

Ed had, in fact, only recently entered the world of retirement—but told us that witnessing Craft’s bold new approach to private air travel inspired him to return to the industry full-time:

“Craft is uniquely positioned to continue to grow, even in the face of uncertain economic times. Craft has a business model and philosophy which is a competitive edge in the marketplace, and uniquely advantageous to their managed clients and charter customers.

I’m excited to partner with Izzy and the leadership team at Craft to build upon the foundation of this remarkable evolving organization.”

Welcome to the crew

We are thrilled to have Ed join us, bringing his considerable experience and understanding of the private aviation industry. We know that his passion and knowledge will prove invaluable in the coming chapters of Craft’s journey, so please join us in welcoming him to the team.
